1977 ROCK-OLA GRAND SALON

This was Juke number 2 - another 'bay find with some cosmetic damage to the plastic front panel. Came from a leisure coin-op company and hadn't been out of service that long - still loaded up with mid 90s records. Wasn't working on collection but a good clean up got it going when it got home with only a few minor problems to sort out and has been a real old faithful ever since. The damaged plastic was repaired with a timber piece of similar profile - which involved getting a piece of wood to look like plastic trying to look like wood!

This style of Jukebox was aimed at the restaurant trade hence the plastic stab at tasteful complete with Monet artwork.

1978 ROCK-OLA 478 MYSTIC

The Mystic was found locally for friends and had a variety of symptoms to solve. Although only a year younger than our previous Rock-ola - it held the dreadful surprise that it was microprocessor controlled so a whole different kettle of fish to service & troubleshoot. After a global search for a replacement component which proved unfruitful, an identical microchip was found on a less needed circuit board within the juke itself, it was a beautiful moment to see it working.The Mystic has one non standard mod as the original front glass was missing, the opportunity was taken to make it a visible mechanism
